Meet 2006-2007 Delaware Valley Roundtable Student Representative:

In 2006 and 2007, Jessica Volpe, a
Supply Chain and Information Systems undergraduate candidate at
The Pennsylvania State University was selected by the CSCMP Delaware
Valley Roundtable to serve as its Student Representative. As part
of her student representative responsibilities, Jessica assisted
the Roundtable with the operation of its Annual Supply Chain Symposiums
in both 2006 and 2007. She was also selected and sponsored by the
Roundtable to attend CSCMP's Annual Global Conferences in both San
Antonio and Philadelphia, where she represented the Delaware Valley
Roundtable.
In addition to her active involvement
with CSCMP, Jessica already has a long list of leadership accomplishments
to her record:
- Selected as the Penn State University Student
Representative at the FedEx Freight 2008 Logistics Education Summit
- Selected as one of eight students nationally
to present at the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) 2008
Logistics Conference
- Served as Mentor and Resident Assistant to the
Pennsylvania Governor's School for Global Entreneurship
- Served as Membership & Tour Director for
the Penn State University Smeal Student Society where she managed
the logistics and scheduling of 53 tour guides and represented
the college by conducting tours of Penn State's new Business Administration
building for recruiters, alumni and prospective students
Jessica held a Transportation Co-op position with
Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Collegeville, PA during the Spring and
Summer of 2007. At the conclusion of her Co-op she returned to State
College to complete her studies and assumed a part-time position
with Penn State's Center for Supply Chain Research. In this capacity,
Jessica coordinates and prepares special events hosted by the Center,
as well as assists graduate students and professors in research
projects by compiling data and narrowing subject fields.
Jessica will complete her B.S. in Supply Chain and
Information Sytems in May of 2008. She recently accepted a position
as a Demand Planner with The Hershey Company which she will begin
shortly after graduation.
