Jock Menzies is Chairman of The Terminal Corporation, a third-party logistics services company dating from 1893 headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.
Terminal’s operations include public and contract warehousing, marine terminal operations, common carrier and contract truck transportation.
Current directorships include The Harford Mutual Insurance Company, the Central Maryland Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the Maryland Chamber of Commerce. Jock is chair of the Transportation Coalition of the Maryland State Chamber of Commerce and active with the International Warehouse Logistics Association Government Policy Committee. He is a director and 1st president of the American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN).
Past activities include directorships of the International Warehouse Logistics Association, the North Atlantic Ports Association, the Warehousing Education and Research Council, The Steamship Trade Association of Baltimore, the United Way of Central Maryland and the Baltimore Council on Foreign Affairs. From 1989 through 1991, Jock was Chairman of Baltimore’s Private Sector Port Committee, and in 1992 and 1993 he was the first President of the Maryland Distribution Council.
A past chair of the Central Maryland Chapter of the American Red Cross Jock’s experience securing supply chain resources during Hurricane Isabel in 2003 led him in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to work with Supply Chain industry associations to establish the American Logistics Aid Network. ALAN provides a gateway to resources needed for humanitarian relief to the supply chain community. Resources may be products, plant and equipment or intellectual.
